Dita Mikro

Inspired by the expressive stroke of a calligrapher’s brush, Mikro began as a testament to the minimalist artistry of Zen Buddhism. The frame’s graceful acetate casing embraces the concept of enso, a hand-drawn circle comprised of a single, decisive brushstroke. 

To practitioners of Zen calligraphy, enso is a fascinating expression of individuality: the form can be achieved only when the artist’s mind is completely free to let the body create, and the nuances associated with such inspired movement represent the perfection found in imperfection. Mikro’s own gently curved structure and open architecture represent the hope and promise of an incomplete circle – a Buddhist symbol for harmony and regeneration.
